How do I sign up to play and when is the deadline?
Initial pairings are done at 9:00 PM on Thursday evening for the following Tuesday’s play. The pairings are created from the online Genius sign up and are available for viewing after NOON on Friday.
Late sign up, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday morning can be entered into Genius on the waiting list. If there is room to add players these late sign ups will be added to pairings Sunday afternoon.
Once pairings are full the only option to play will be as a 5th player and you won’t participate in team awards. You still can participate for the deuce pot, CTP’s, Player of the Year, and Hole in One.
You can sign up to play up to three weeks in advance. Best to not forget!
What do I do when arriving to play MGA golf?
Best to arrive 30 minutes or earlier before the shotgun start.
Look up your starting hole on the list by the pro shop.
Find your teammates. If you need help ask the volunteers at the CTP/Starters table and they will help out.
At the CTP/Starters table you have the option to sign up for the Deuce Pot, $1 entry. Minimum payout $5. Also, pick up your prior CTP awards and ask for the team scorecards. Follow up if your team needs to take out or pick up CTP signs, clip boards, and measuring tapes.
Go into the pro shop and pick up your cart tag and pay any applicable golf/cart fees.
Arrange cart sharing with your teammates.
Please assemble your team with carts before going to the practice area. That’s why we need everyone to arrive 30 minutes or earlier.
After Play teammates will compare the paper scorecard to the Genius submitted scores, “hole by hole”. No need to add them up because the Genius software will handle all of this. Once validated the Genius score is submitted.
